Chapter Leaders
Carl has been a member of the VA-DC Chapter of HFMA since 1994. He has served on the Membership Committee and Chaired the Publications, before moving to the Officer Chairs. Carl is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in Business Management. He has worked for Carilion Clinic since 1990 in multiple Patient Financial Service and Revenue Cycle Management roles. He currently has responsibility for the system Eligibility program, Eligibility Assistance Services, the system Finance company, MedKey, the system Charity Care Program, and the RCM Data Management and Systems Support teams. Carl lives in Roanoke, Virginia with his wife, Ellen.

Tom Henderson has been a member of the Virginia-DC Chapter of HFMA since 2004. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC with a BS degree in Advertising and a minor in Public Relations/Marketing. Tom currently works as a Regional Account Executive for FirstPoint Collection Resources in Greensboro, NC and has been in the business of Healthcare Financials for over 7 years. Prior to working in healthcare, Tom spent twelve years in the non-profit sector as an Executive and Finance Director for two national organizations. Golfing, hunting and coaching baseball are some of Tom's favorite hobbies. He resides in Kernersville, NC with his wife and three children.
