President's Message

Greetings and welcome to the Virginia DC HFMA website.

If you are a current member we thank you for being a valuable part of our Chapter.  If you are considering HFMA membership you have come to the right place to find out how HFMA can benefit you and your career.  Our theme this year is Step Up!  And, VA/DC HFMA strives to do that and more by providing our members many quality opportunities for education, networking, career development, and, last but not least, fun.

We hope that you will find this website full of the information you are looking for to make the most out of your HFMA experience.

Browse our website to locate valuable information about all that VA/DC HFMA has to offer.  The Publication Committee regularly updates the site so you can stay connected and up-to-date, 24/7, with Chapter news and educational offerings.  On our site you will find valuable information to assist you including:

Would you like to be more involved?  I welcome your ideas and participation.  On behalf of the board, I encourage you to reach out to an officer or a committee chair to find out more about the volunteer opportunities available.  Joining a committee is a great way to network, build relationships and give back to the organization.  And, it’s fun!  Your involvement will create a stronger connection to healthcare as a profession and enhance the benefits of our association for you and others.  Consider joining one of our vibrant and vital committees whose members are really Stepping Up!  Choices include:

  • Education
  • Membership
  • Publications
  • Certification
  • Registration
  • Sponsorship

Our primary goal is education, so if you are looking for continuing education credits, we have some great events coming up in your local area.  Or, perhaps you'd like to write an article for an upcoming newsletter.  Not a member yet?  Please contact me or the membership chair and we will help you join.

In whatever way you would like to be involved, we would like to welcome and thank you for being a member of our chapter. Together we are stepping up for the people we serve.  Enjoy!
